He almost looks exactly as I remember him in that picture of him by the table. I know this was a hard post to write, but I am glad you did. Your dad was an excellent man that lived life the way he wanted to I gather. Also, he had those who loved him by his side as he dozed off for one last time.

Family member death is a strange/sad/happy experience. I had not really thought about it much lately while trying to stay busy until I caught "Ghost Squad" (A modern Japanese horror/comedy) on the Roku Channel the other night.

That was one of the best tributes I have ever read. We can only hope to live our lives in such a manner that our kids will look up to us in the same way.

Wonderful post, Robb. Every time you write about your dad he seems like a cooler and even more decent dude. This reminds me that I really should write down some of my own Dad Tales before I forget them.

Robb, may I suggest you listen to Mike and the Mechanics' The Living Years and see if it resonates with you.

Alan Francis wrote a book containing everything men understand about women. It consisted of 100 blank pages.
