So, met up with ol' CGG in Atlanta last night, and we went to the Dillinger Escape Plan show. It is not even remotely his style of music. I prepared him to be horrified and miserable. But he was a trooper and stayed through all three (ugh) opening bands, and the main act.
I now yield the floor so he may give an honest opinion of his experience. I hope I have sufficiently conveyed to him that I totally understand that it's nothing anyone should like, and I have no excuse for liking it, so I hope he will feel free to be as brutally honest as possible.

I don't have to say anything. I'm a doctor, too.

At least the beer was cold and plentiful. My only difficulty with the show was when Pinner stepped away, leaving me to chat with fellow concertgoers, many greatly saddened by DEP's pending departure from the music scene and pressing me as to my favorite DEP song or album.
