I'm as much a fan of "old skool" as anyone but you're wrong son.

It's just old-ass white guys complaining about rap music. Never gonna change.

I want the rappers to spend hundreds of hours learning their craft, the way a musician has to in order to play an instrument. Speaking in an aggressive voice over a drum beat hardly....

Pinner, you're right. There's nothing I can say here that will balance the scales. Let them all rap on, just don't let me hear it. I know it's music, I just don't like it, nor understand it. Nothing I say will change anything, this isn't voting.

Are there rap love songs?

Love Wu-Tang but really tried to enjoy the tv series about them. I was hoping it was going to be like "Straight outta Compton" movie which was great but the Wu-Tang show was just slow and boring, couldn't power through watching it.

Changes by 2pac is from 1998.

The thing that sucks about Changes from 2pac is that in the middle of the video of the song they inserted an incoherent rant from Tupac. Don't fuck with the audio of your song in the video, idiots.

I object to the old man dig back there. I didn't like Rapper's Delite when it came out in '79 and I was certainly not old then!

I loved Rappers Delight, I thought it was a great song, so much so I memorized the Food Rap from the end of the single (the full long version continues from there.)

Well you ever went over your friend's house to eat
And the food just ain't no good?
I mean the macaroni's soggy, the peas are mush and the chicken tastes like wood
So you try to play him off like you think you can by saying that you're full
And your friend says, "Man he's just being polite, he ain't finished, uh uh, that's bull."
So your heart starts pumping and you think of a lie, and you say that you already ate
And your friend says, "Man, there's plenty of food," so he piles some more on your plate
While the sticky food's steamin' your mind starts to dreamin' of the moment it's time to leave
And you look at your plate and the chicken's still a-rottin' in something that looks like... cheese
So you say "That's it, I got to leave this place, I don't care what these people think, I'm just sittin' here makin' myself nauseous with this ugly food that stinks."
So you bust out the door while it still cooks
Still sick from the food you ate
And you run to the store for quick relief
From a bottle of Kaopectate
So you call your friend two weeks later
To see how he has been
And he says, "Hey I understand about the food babe, ba-bubba and we're still friends."
With a hip, hop, a hibby-to-the-bibby say hip hip-hop rockin' to the bang-bang boogie go up chunk the boogie to the rhythm of the boogie-da-bee.

This might not be exact. Fuck it.

Maybe if these modern rap groups spent less time speaking about bitchez, gangz, shooting at other and such other pop topics like love and said bullshit I could half-way give shit about.. but they do not.

I listened to Wu Tang Forever until I found I could no longer tolerate it. All I can say is, "well, that's 25 seconds of my life I'll never get back."

I think it's more like "Wu! Ryan, your dog took a dump on the rug, that smell really has a tang to it. Wu! Tang!"
or
"What's for breakfast? Hey, fresh orange juice." Drinks some, then spits it out. "Wu! Tang!"
