Grilled "Shrimp Boils".

Post by pinback »

Your standard shrimp boil consists of shrimp, potatoes, corn, Andouille sausage, all boiled together and thrown onto a table with a bunch of Old Bay seasoning. But you can also do it on the grill, in little foil packs, so everyone gets their own little shrimp boil foil pack to open and it's like Christmas, except instead of underwear from Aunt Myrtle, you get shrimp and potatoes and corn and sausage, so it's way better than Christmas.

1 pound shrimp.
1/2 pound taters, cut into 1" dice, or at least small enough they'll cook through in 20 minutes.
1/2 pound Andoullie, sliced thin.
Two ears corn, cut into quarters.
One lemon, cut into wedges.
Salt, pepper.
Old Bay
Butter
EVOO.

1. Get a big bowl, throw everything in there.
2. Drizzle with a hearty helping of EVOO.
3. Add a tablespoon of salt, and some pepper.
4. Add at least a tablespoon of Old Bay.
5. Mix it all up.
6. Onto a 12x12" (or whatever) sheet of foil, take about 1/3 of the mixture out, put it on the foil. Top with a lemon wedge and 1 tbsp butter. Fold the foil over and seal the sides together so you got a nice little PACKET OF FOOD.
7. Do that a couple more times to make a couple more PACKETS OF FOOD.
8. Preheat grill on medium (500 degrees?).
9. Put packs directly on grill for 20 minutes or so.
10. Remove from grill, let sit 5-10 minutes.
11. Serve the PACKETS OF FOOD, cut slits into the top so everyone can open the best gift they'll get this year. Thanks for nothing, Aunt Myrtle. Nasty old bitch.

Little shrimp boil foil sounds like a Cajun rapper!

Wish I liked seafood, you make that sound pretty good

Well, leave the shrimp out. Nothin' wrong with a mess of tasty corn, taters and sausage.
