Hugo in the XYZZY

Post by Merk »

My "Tales of the Traveling Swordsman" and Robb's "Pantomime" are nominated for XYZZY awards this year.

Pantomime:
Best Writing, Best Story

The Traveling Swordsman:
Best Game, Best Story, Best Puzzles, Best Individual PC

There may not be many Hugo authors and very few games released each year (can be counted on one hand with a couple broken fingers), but gosh-darn-it people like them! :)

Comcast did something with our net connection overnight, so your post was actually the first I saw of XYZZY news, when I came home from jury duty. Rock and roll! If anyone nominated my game and is within sight of this message, allow me to thank you. And, of course, best of luck going forward, Merk. I'm seriously far behind on playing IF games (there will be a Spellcasting thread in a second) but it is good to know that a lot of people liked TTS and rallied around it.
