My wife and I have a standing breakfast date every Saturday morning. We go to a little diner at a local airport that's right off the runway (you know the type). I also have a standing offer that my kids can join us any time. My kids get up around noon on Saturdays. I get to be the nice guy (for offering) and never have to pay up (because they sleep in). Win/win!

During the week, my kids leave for school at 6:30 a.m. When they leave, they slam the door which is what usually wakes me and my wife up. Nobody's getting up an hour early to cook eggs or sausage for anybody around here. My kids know where the pantry and freezer are and how to work the microwave. Our job is to keep them stocked.

What's "breakfast?"

Frozen pancakes/waffles. Sometimes they get homemade pancakes on the weekend, if we feel ambitious (this is rare).

One has cereal, the other has frozen waffles.

Are those pancakes/waffles homemade or frozen?

Usually applesauce, pancakes or waffles, sausage, milk. And vitamins. Think that's it, I'm usually gone before they eat so my wife might shake this up without my knowledge.
