For the moment I'm going to tentatively apologize, I think my tablet had gotten to low battery or it was Firefox, as I could not access the User Control Panel. The dropdown operates, but clicking on the link won't. When I went to use the tablet there was a warning that it was down to 7% battery remaining. I'll plug the tablet in for a while and see if anything changes.

I hereby apologize for my error, but given the circumstances as I explain below I believe it was reasonable to report it as such.

As I said in my original posting I could not be certain where the problem was coming from, and it was the tablet conserving power in an emergency, not the BBS software acting flaky as it is wont to do.[2] Chalk it off to a false positive, since the BBS has so many other flaws, this one wasn't too hard to potentially blame on it too.

All good sir, and please remember that any issues you are having getting your message out are a #1 priority around here. If we can't support you getting your message out and increasing the value of your brand, then what's all this for?

For completewness, I include the original posting here.

From the topic "Things What I Don't Like About The New BBS" in The Adventurer's Guild, I posted the following:
Tdarcos wrote: Sun Jul 26, 2020 5:30 am It's not possible to post here from a mobile device.

For some reason, clicking the "Full Editor & Preview" button from a tablet does not work. Using my finger to click on the button causes it to show the go down, then pop up images, but no action occurs. Trying this several times causes the same result. Even clicking on the "submit" button also does nothing. This makes it impossible for me to post when using a mobile tablet.

I will concede however, that it's entirely possible that the problem is with my tablet or with the software on it such as Firefox for mobile, or with the keyboard Processing Software that handles conversion of touch to mouse click.

Now, it is also entirely possible that some will consider this to be a feature, not a bug, as it reduces my ability to post. Just realize, my PC has voice recognition software that my tablet does not, which means my ability to type on the tablet is much less than on my PC. So, if anything, if you want to get me to post less, you would probably want to encourage me to use a tablet instead of a PC. I just happened to be using it today because I could not find my keyboard for a while, or I might never have known about the problem.

This message created with the assistance of the speech recognition software included with this Lenovo desktop PC. It was inspired by another message that was originally written on my tablet.
I will note that in the first sentence of the second paragraph I did concede it could be a hardware problem on my end, and seeing how the problem has stopped i presume it was.

On PC the style is "prosilver'. Hold on while I check mobile. Please enjoy this music while you wait.

Okay, I'm back; hope you weren't on hold too long. The dropdown operates, but clicking on the link won't. When I went to use the tablet there was a warning that it was down to 7% battery remaining. I'll plug the tablet in for a while and see if anything changes.

In the interim since posting the above I fell asleep[1] after putting the tablet on a charge cable, it is some hours later, it should be fully charged, I'll check to see if the tablet is recharged. Please hold while I check, and enjoy some more music while you wait.

I am back, the tablet was at 99% after I finished my examination, and I have checked and discovered two, no three things: (1) the tablet also has "prosilver" as its style; (2) the problem I had no longer occurs, now that the tablet's battery power percent is (far) above the danger level; (3) the style looks better on tablet than on a PC.

I hereby apologize for my error, but given the circumstances as I explain below I believe it was reasonable to report it as such.

[1] I guess this indicates how interesting this conversation has been, since even i fell asleep during it!
[2] My use of the word "wont" in this sentence is correct. It is not a misspelling of "won't".

Okay, it doesn't let me change a user's board style.

Commander, do you know how to change the board style? In the upper right corner you should see a link with your handle. If you click that, you should see a tab for Board preferences.

There is a drop down for "My board style."

If you can tell me what it currently says that will let me get rid of it if mobile doesn't work and I can duplicate it.
It will also let you change it to something that is better.
