Or sometimes it's self service: Zenith National Bank's monthly "club deposit"

OMG, I actually remember Thunderbird. That's like from like 15 years ago, right?

No, the real idea is that executives who are constantly being emailed by vendors will use this thing so that if a vendor "really" wants them to read their email they have to donate $2 to a charity of choice for that email to be delivered to the inbox. I'm not a great use case for them because I don't get a lot of B2B solicitations, oh well for them. They're hoping that executives will sign up and then lots of vendors will start donating so they can email the executives again. I don't care about their business model, Google so far hasn't given me anything that keeps 100% of shit I don't want out of my inbox and and this is doing that at least so far.

If you're asking about sending poop, unfortunately dogpoo.com failed a number of years ago. Edit: apparantly shit sending sites are still a thing: Check out ShitExpress.com, apparently you can even choose the animal now - https://www.shitexpress.com/

Edit: What's pinback's address? I might have another quality of life investment coming up.

BTW: ICJ is just as much a toxic asshole as everyone else here except Vark.

Incorrect. You have a hypothesis. Only after it has been tested, verified, and shown to be falsifiable, does it get elevated to the status of a theory.

Gated.com is great

I don't usually recommend products here but rather usually complain, not this time. Just heard about this and signed up for Gated.com. Totally free, completely catches all marketing emails that you don't tell it that you want, literally any domain you don't regularly communicate with or opt in goes into the Gated folder. Just scan the Gated folder for any emails you want, if so just drag them into inbox. When done, select all and delete is so much easier than multiple selections or filtering.

Its great for me because I've had my gmail since it started and after a certain point I couldn't keep up with deleting the shit that made it past spam filter so I gave up and just use search to find stuff. I now have overr 30k unread emails in my inbox (that's gonna take some time to clean) but 3 days, not a single unwanted email in my inbox (except for one about Poop, their CEO said the server crashed).

Funny enough, this is the one email that made it through:

Wholehearted recommendation for anyone who has gotten behind in their emails.
