I write checks to the power and water companies. For many years until maybe recently, the water company didn't accept electronic payments.

Some places only take checks. Usually it's a contractor because they are worried about getting ripped off, which is hilarious. I don't think we have written one in 4+ years.

Don't have Venmo or Zel so on occasion there will be paper checks going out in the mail

The other thread brings up something that didn't even occur to me: some people still write checks and balance their "checkbook". My current checking account doesn't even offer a checkbook though I can have them print and send one for me if I so chose. Sounds like Pinback doesn't write checks anymore, I'm curious if we're the odd ones out in that way as well.
