I tried to introduce myself to the black neighbors on one side of me shortly after they moved in to ask about a damn cat that had run off. Coronamania was in full force, so when I stuck out my hand to shake it he basically just backed away and closed the door after we exchanged names lol
I met his dad though who owns the property but doesn't live there after they tried to get a tree cut down and it fell on the main power line. He's really cool.
The old (but not as old as the last guy that lived there) white dude on the other side of me is friendly but really odd in some ways. He invited me to a Halloween thing at his house years back that was fun to attend and get to know him better. He wanted to talk secret weapons of the Luftwaffe and space weirdness to me so we clicked pretty quick. I just barely talk to him anymore but sometimes think about offering him some of my cooking.
My neighbors at the trailer park by the coast are all older, much more redneck, but generally all friendly. Joey, the large-man-titty man that lives across from me I've given tomatoes to and talk to him every time I see him.
