Fuggin seriously. Part of me would love to take you up on that, if I had time off work so we could and such. But yeah, the rates out here for things are out of control. On the other hand, if I get paralyzed in a ladder accident because I cleaned gutters and am bad at it, welp.

Got a couple of quotes that I would like to post.

Gutter clean: we have a gutter in front of our garage. They obviously don't know it was just that and not the entire house, but the quote was $309. For that price, yes, I will go out there with a ladder and do it myself.

We have a 500 pound vanity for our upstairs bathroom that needs to go upstairs. We tried lifting it with moving straps. The one thing not broken around here and the one thing that is not a problem is my back and I don't feel this is worth ten years of back pain. The quote we got was "$90 per mover per hour. And the hour starts when they leave the building and ends when they get back." I have seen that phrase or tactic used before and it is sooooooooooo [i]fucking[/i] smug that it makes me sick, and I can't consider it.
