Dude, Marketplace is basically nothing anymore. Half of it is now a UofR Orthopedic Center. The rest is absolute ghost town.

Walking through a mall with my little nephew last night was really fun. They are not hurting for space, the businesses that are left and there were not many customers now. We had more customers in February in 1997 at the mall (in NY) than I saw yesterday in November, which is what used to be the second busiest month.

There is a Spider-Man and friends show that is out, it's computer animated. I suspect that has a lot to do with it! The show is good for kids and give them enough good examples about upstanding character and ethics that I enjoy it.

Is there a new Spider-Man movie out? Last time I looked up Tom Holland it was to hear about his watch collection.

I'm seeing Eddie Izzard tonight with Hapticanimal: a touch of fun and enjoyment for what seems is going to be a rough rest of the month.

Hospitals seriously seem like the most toxic place to work now. Wow. Glad she is enjoying the new gig!
Hell yeah that is awesome.

My wife worked at the same hospital for 14 years. She took a new job at a different place and her last day is January 6th, 2025. Her first day at the new place is a couple of days later.

She is leaving because of management, really. A string of managers and directors that didn't care enough about people. A story as old as time. Since she got the news about the new place, she is THRIVING. She painted over the weekend. She baked bread. She seems happier already with this huge weight off her shoulders.

OK, I'll bite.

Last night, we had a get-together with a bunch of people from work. It started out as a small thing... a bunch of us celebrating a co-worker who passed away several years ago. It would have been his birthday, we all miss him, he was a great guy. Then it ballooned into a larger get-together with OTHER people from work who didnt know him. In the end, we were doing happy hour with like 30+ people from work.

I have worked for the same company for 37 years. Most of my closest friends are people that I have worked with for decades. Ever since we got sent to work from home at the beginning of Covid, I have not seen many of these people. It was SO MUCH FUN to see them all, to hang out have some drinks, and just talk for a couple of hours.

I really like my co-workers, and really miss being in the office with them. I need more nights like last night.

Feel free to share small moments when life is good!

Took my wife and nephew to a 4 year old's birthday party. KIDS LOVE SPIDER-MAN. We were happy and lucky to get a single pair of underwear that looked like Spidey's, kids today have toys that are replicas of J. Jonah Jameson's "Spider-Slayer" robot cyborg machine.

The joy in my nephew's heart as the kids tonight realized they were getting ice cream cake fuels me.

Denizens, please share your small special moments of life, now and evermore.
