This is true, although sometimes they try to work it in so many times it becomes too obvious and disruptive to the general flow of the videos.

This is where the term "substance abuse" came from.

On a side note, "substances" is used on YouTube as a euphemism for unlawful drugs, e.g. cocaine, crystal meth (ice), heroin, and to a lesser extent, marijuana, on videos of someone reading posts from Reddit. This is being done to avoid demonetization or other responses from the algorithm to videos considered "not advertiser friendly."

I get the joke, but in a few ways it's also AWFUL. I gave a copy to my friend on USB drive and it gave him an awful nightmare about shoving foreign objects into his head and torso to try to fight an illness lol

The "body gore" in the movie being very intense without being overly gross until the end is unnerving and just sort of sticks with the viewer days after watching.

You should check it out.. if anything to see what Demi Moore's ass looks like at 60 (also a bit unnerving lol)

The Substance

Finally watching this movie. My gf's brother recommended it back when it was in theaters.

I didn't really know what to expect coming from Cronenberg's son. David was creepy as shit in Nightbreed, I didn't like Videodrome as much as other horror movie people did, but he directed some good stuff.

This movie by his son is fucking awesome. The casting, the soundtrack, the camera work and bizarre story is really good.
