Jesus, you people.

No one's even going to comment on the Manikin Pis? Or the way that I'm apparently giving him a reach-around? Or the pink flamingo?

Here I am in my little bachelor pad in the town of Houston.

Ah, I remember now. You get the games, each of which comes with its own console. I have a few, which I suppose I could give you codes for, but unfortunately I rather like Pinball.

No, I just started out with a tape deck. How 80s.

I mean, obviously, I have a real NES, but I want the full experience of playing NES games inside my Animal Crossing game rather than, you know, having to turn my chair around and scoot across the floor to the actual NES.

KK Slider sang me a song, so now I have something to play in my tape deck. And I bought some turnips. Now I shall play the Stalk Market. Ph33r M3!

Don't you already have a NES? It's been a year, admittedly, but I am fairly sure that you start out with one. It's getting the GAMES that's the problem; you have to either spend hundreds of pounds on the E-Cards or get reeeeally lucky.

OK, here's a little philosophical problem I've got.

Most of us, I suspect, are anal-retentive enough that we like to keep the Gamecube set to the right time.

And yet:

When does KK play? Saturday evening. When do turnips go on sale? 6AM-noon Sunday. When do special things happen? Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.

You know, on weekends, I occasionally go out with my real friends, not my pretend animal friends. Tonight, for instance, we're celebrating JB's birthday. On holidays I'm probably spending it with family, not in front of my GC.

And besides, that fucking Tom Nook wouldn't take "no" for an answer when I told him my hovel was just fine thank you and now I'm 148Kbells in debt to him.

And am I really going to have to wait for my birthday to get an NES?

Bruce, there's no shame in what you're doing. You shall be helped through this difficult time; and remember that the singing dog plays at the train station on Saturday nights. It's a good night out, especially if you ask him to sing K.K. Rock.

I want your peaches.

Okay, yeah, with four people around it can be cool. But for fuck's sake, one-on-one with two reasonably intelligent people sucks Nuckles's ass. The thing rewards juggling like John Ashcroft awards people who blow up abortion clinics.

I'll bet you're letting people "beachcomb" you, you gay, old bearded fruit.

So are Gamecubes seventy bucks yet?

by bruce » Fri Mar 12, 2004 4:25 pm

Oh. Jesus. Christ.

My virtual house is paid off.

And I spent some time designing a hip sorta Peter Max psychedelic wallpaper for my room. And paid 350 bells for the privilege. And I put the "Avant-Garde" print on my clothes.

And I got stung by bees and one eye is all swole shut and the other residents of Houston keep laughing at me.

And I caught a butterfly and discovered that money does grow on trees and that beachcombing is a reasonable way to make a living.

And I can't stop.

??? Whatchoo smokin, Bond? SSBM is a party game for chrissakes! It's at its best when played with 4 players!

Bitch.

Also get Capcom VS. SNK 2. And do not, I repeat, DO NOT by Super Smash Brothers: Melee. At least, not if you plan on playing it with friends. It can be fun for single player and all, but when you get other human opponents it gets very not-fun very fast.

Isn't that, like, a felony, until you turn 18?

Bruce! I want you to trade peaches with me.

This game is like digital crack. it will keep you obsessed for a good few months. The spell was not broken for me until some fucker lost my town when I lent it to him on a memory card.

Could talk forever about this game. Must. Restrain. Self.

But I really really want your peaches.

Sweet, man. May I make a few suggestions?
-Resident Evil 0 and REmake
-Zelda: Wind Waker (Monkey approved)
-Viewtiful Joe
-Metroid Prime

That is all.

I think he was right all along.

I bought Animal Crossing today, and God help me, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

I know I left my masculinity around here someplace.
