This is funny, because I needed a place to address this, but would have been too embarassed to start it on it's own topic. I have a pair of clippers. They are older than I am. They can, at times, be a tad unwilling to cut. I buy new clippers, from a Department Store! I use them. They, fresh out of the box, cut worse (meaning, not at all) than the decades old pair I own. What a shithole manufacturing society.

I have heard Cuisinart sucks, and this was borne out by going to a friend's house one day and listening to the guy's wife try and contact product support for over an hour because the thing broke after 3 months or so.

My Mr. Coffee bought 10 years ago for $20 has a built in clock and alarm, whereas Robb's Mr. Coffee bought 7 months ago for $20 has none.

Fight the Future.

Brands of Kitchen Things?

Hey, who else here has favorite brands of cookware?

For pots and pans, I'm a big fan of All-clad. For knives, I really like the Henckel Four-Star, although I wish Amy would treat them better. And for cast-iron cookware there's nothing like Lodge. I adore my Kitchen-Aid mixer and my Waring bar blender.

On the other hand I'm not at all pleased with the $100 brushed-stainless Cuisinart coffeepot I just bought. The fucking thing leaks, and all told I liked my $20 Mr. Coffee better. I got the Cuisinart Grind-n-Brew as a wedding present, and it was cool, but broke after only a little more than a year. So fuck Cuisinart.

My appliances are all GE Profile-series, but some day I'd love to be able to afford a Viking range.
