is that Ben's just being childish. It's childish to put something on the web and cry about who (in your own circle of "friends") saw something. It's childish to drive people off of your own website (bud·dies of yours no less). It's childish to think people want to read this drivel.
Do you really need to stress it so much? Who gives a shit about reality?

Because nobody GOES to my BBS.
It has come to my attention that the location of the "hidden" So Now Then website (featuring all of the past year's juicy content) has been LEAKED, and that even the destitute and homeless living on the streets in Schenectity NY and Minnetonka, MN know where it is.

I don't mind that part. But I only gave the URL out to about five people. Six, tops.

I wanna know WHO THE FUCK's been distributing that URL?

Because now I'm going to have to CHANGE IT AGAIN, and I want to know who I can TRUST, and who I must KILL.
Yeah, I'm sure that you were really bothered by Ben's drivvel. Since it took you only one and a half seconds to get the gist of what he was saying, decide it wasn't anything you cared about, then gone to look at something else.

Oh. Wait.

No, no, you read the entire thread, just because you felt like it, and when you got down to the bottom you figured "Hey, no one's blasted Pinback yet today, I think I'll do it!" and whined--and I must stress, *WHINED*--that that three-line post took up so much of your precious fucking time. Hey, slappy, here's a nice idea: if you think a post is worthless, *DON'T READ IT*. Yeah I know by the time you've read it it's too late, but it took, what, three seconds to read the entire thing? Not to mention that the title "SNT" meant it was about Ben's website in the first place, so it's not as though you went in expecting a helarious thread about video games only to have them horribly dashed. I mean, what you're doing here is basically saying "Wow! What a worthless post to start out a completely worthless threadQ! I think I'll read the rest of the posts just to see how worthless they are! And then I will complain that he maliciously wasted my time!" Um, no. It's not Ben's fault for posting something you don't care about, it's your fault for apparently caring enough to read it and then whine about having to read something you don't care about. This is the general topics base, isn't it? So doesn't that kind of denote a general-ness type of tilt towards the posts? Or does "general" in your mind have a "anything except for something that relates to So Now Then!" in your mind?

To answer your question, the BBS is just as public as this one is, so doing it there would have been somewhat counterproductive, since the same people who can read the snt front page can read the BBS just as easily.

So you're complaining IN PUBLIC about a board that's supposed to be PRIVATE? Did you ever consider maybe just mentioning the leak IN PRIVATE (since one of your users is obviously the culprit) and not bothering the rest of us with this drivel?

Oh, and it's "Schenectady".

This makes no sense. The only people I drove off were you and Finsternis. And nobody talks to Finsternis and Finsternis doesn't talk to anybody, so it couldn't be him.

And if it was you, surely you'd have admitted it by now.

Wouldn't you.

Yes, of course you would.
Who knew of it that you didn't want to know of it?

Like I said -- unlikely! But still, Sherlock Holmes said that when you eliminate all the improbable stuff whatever's left is fo sheezle fo shizzle.
