My brother and his friends (all big guys) have an annual football game Thanksgiving morning. Stories of these games are legend....at least one person breaks something each year, and my brother is usually so sore after the game that he can hardly feed his face at dinner. Think real football, but without any kind of helmets or padding.
Now that he and his friends are in their early 30s, the games have either ended or become much more, uh, sedate than they used to be. Age has caught up with them, and they simply aren't able to absorb the damage like they used to. Sounds like what might happening with you. As somebody well into their 30s, my suggestion would be that if you want to keep participating in games like this, then you need to work harder to stay in shape so you can take the abuse. That's what ya gotta do when you start to get old.
