Because I am an accomplished nag and busybody, I took it upon myself to write to the author of webHugo about the status of ongoing development (the last update to the site is dated 6 Oct 2000.)

Here is his reply:

The work on WebHugo is not yet complete. Quite a bit was accomplished after the last update to that page on my site, however it's not ready for release. About a year and a half ago the dot-com I was working for folded and I had to work on some more profitable projects. I still have all the code and I will revisit it at some point, but I have to finish
the project I'm currently working on. My current active project is a new issue tracking system - I have this project about 70% complete. I'd be happy to update you as soon as I am able to return to WebHugo. I have a real interest in the types of games that Hugo allows one to indulge in.
I started playing them in 1981 on an old TRS-80. I will see WebHugo through, but I have to pay some bills first. Thank you for your interest!

So, something to look forward to.

Oh, wow -- that's awesome! Great find there. I'm going to be psyched when that thing gets going.

Looks like an attempt to do a zplet-like thing with Hugo;
just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
