Pot Limit may in fact be the game for you. I, myself, have never played it. I wouldn't play it for real money in any case, because I couldn't handle that kind of pressure.

But if I was going to play a tournament, I might as well go ahead and play No-Limit.

So there's really no major pull for me to play Pot-Limit.

Unless it was like a nickle/dime home game or something, in which case, who gives a fuck.

For instance, if the amount in the pot is $238.25, then you may bet or raise any amount from $0 to $238.25.

Contrast this with No-Limit, where you can bet or raise any amount from $0 to whatever you have.
How is the fun factor?

What I'm finding is that Limit HE takes forever, and you can never squeeze anyone out of a hand. Although I guess I don't mind sitting there grinding out the occasional pot by playing tight, it doesn't stay very exciting.

No-Limit, on the other hand, means that any assjack can decide that his odds are reasonably good and shove in his stack, thus turning it into a straight-up crapshoot.

So maybe pot-limit is the game for me?

So, how does Pot Limit (as opposed to Limit, or No Limit) Poker work?
