I'm troubled by this latest article which just appeared in the Yahoo Health & Science news section.
The title of the article is, "Risk of Leukemia High in Older Obese Women". It begins by explaining that new research has found a higher risk of leukemia among older overweight women, offering another piece of evidence that carrying extra pounds can increase your chance of getting cancer.
Later on, it goes on to qualify the results of the research by stating that "because the study didn't address just how excessive weight might contribute to AML", it doesn't prove that losing weight will reduce the risk in older obese women.
My question is this: Who gives a fuck?
