Whoaa... whoaa!
I gotta tell ya, this new Ice Cream Jonsey series is flying off the shelves! A sizzling seller, and a must-have for any JC collector. Writer Robb Sherwin teams up with legendary artist Jim Lee in what will surely be an unforgetable 10-issue run.
Ice Cream Jonsey: Untold Tales, in my opinion, is refreshingly nostalgic. I've always liked the character better when he was posting, rather than remaining in content limbo. I've read ICJ ever since his first appearance in Giant Size PWC #2, and I am delighted to find this character continues to be interesting and still a comedic badass after all these years.
Issue #3 hits comic shops this week, and while I'm not a huge fan of cliffhangers and such, it does show initiative for the reader to pick up the next issue. An all out battle royale with Ice Cream Jonsey and a bug vs Gentleman Jack Jabber and Insectivore? I'm there! Also, be sure not to miss the cameo appearance by F8 Shift-F2.
All in all, the book itself is a very enjoyable read, one which I'd highly recommend to any fan of the medium. It's worth picking up even if it's not the superrare gold variant cover edition.
