OK, just changed your e-mail and sent you the new password (which the BBS generated, not me). Let me know if phpBB managed to fuck up this process in some manner. Or, rather, if I did.

Yes. I actually did PURCHASE DOA3, I got it with my system. It's damn solid, although a different style than Tekken or VF. Not many things are more beautiful than the forest level. It does get old after a while, and there's really nothing better for Xbox right now.
However, Soul Calibur 2 is coming out fairly soon and being that the original for DC is *still* the best fighting game ever, I fully expect SC2 to own.

In other news, I seem to have forgotten my password. Can you reset it and/or email it to me? aparcells@eforceglobal.com will get to me at work, home and in my sleep so that I can get logged on and pushing some lovely flavored content sooner rather than later.

Acclaim officially announced today that BMX XXX will be released for
PlayStation 2 first, with it=s launch being November 15th. The PlayStation
2 version, which is the only to have the topless nudity edited out, has
over 2,000 tricks, create-a-player options, and eight levels. The Xbox and
GameCube versions are set for release during mid-November.

I never wrote that.

Running at 30-frames-a-sec, on a high-res HDTV-screen, it's quite possible you will have an orgasm. Because we brits run with a few more lines then you on our TVs, to get the 60Hz (30-frames-a-sec) mode running, we actually lose about 100 lines of quality. So we always have to ask ourselves; what do I want today, good quality or really smooth movement?

This is fun on games that, for some reason, still use VSync, and thusly speed up a noticeable amount in this mode, a la' DOAII on the Dreamcast.

UGVM (www.ugvm.org) has a really good article on the Dreamcast in the first issue. Just so you know.

But as a whole, I would tend to agree that Acclaim is a piece of shit lazy ass PART OF THE PROBLEM publisher.

Because see, the Judge wears glasses and is all reserved and shit, but Ben is always saving the world. Goddamn.

I swear that's not me.

Shat upon. But I guess the English requirements for the Sysop examine are fairly lax nowadays.

I agree. When I come back home for Christmas vacation, we will pour out a bit from our forties in memory of all the poor fucks who Acclaim walked right over and shitted on.

(Preferably into the ground, but if it's onto the floor of where our Dukematch is, well, that can't be helped either.)

Ah. I checked out their site and you're right. Pure drivel, with the exception of Crazy Taxi for PS2 and GC(albeit dated) and Turok Evo(albeit iffy).

Point, Jonsey.

Tony Hawk?!?
I... think that was Activision who publishes those games and not Acclaim, isn't it?

Wow.

I'm so suprised that Sony is taking the prudist path whilst Nintendo and Microsoft walk on the "wild" side.

I wouldn't even buy a good game that used this much damn shock value to get a few sales. Sure Omikron promised me tits but backed out ... regardless it was a solid as shit game (I downloaded a nude patch which is pretty good except for the wide ass cracks) probably one of the most entertaining games I have plowed through and I continue to play it simply because it is that good.

Now there seems to be a bit of bias towards Acclaim here but there is always a chance of surprise. Frankly I don't really care for XTREME games. I liked Tony Hawk 2 but, it got boring. Now Acclaim or no, any game that sells on tits and just that will have a starting handy cap. Maybe ... just maybe because Acclaim has to sell BMX PG just on "XTREME ACTION" not "TRIPLE ECKS!" that may mean they will establish a decent fun game then later add tits.

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Wed Nov 06, 2002 3:32 pm

Did I write that somewhere before? I have like the same three things to say whenever Acclaim is mentioned. I probably am repeating myself from somewhere.

by Lex » Wed Nov 06, 2002 2:44 pm

Boy Jonsey, that sure was *spontanious* of you!

Yeah, I bet there are "2,000 tricks" available.

Why the hell are they bringing the watered down version of the game out first? It's an Acclaim game, so that means it's going to suck ass through a straw. You would think that they would try to capitalize on the hype during the early stage where the game is still review-proof.

Oh, right, I forgot, they are the worst video game publisher in the history of civilization and every decision they've ever made about anything has been the wrong one.
