So I am "pair programming" with my boss at work today. I'll let the laughter die down.
OK...
...
... Right. And we have a problem which is --> How do we extract text from lines of an XML file?
I know how to do it in Assembly and tell him.
I know how to do it in Perl (it's easiest) and tell him.
I know how to do it in C and tell him.
I was running the keyboard, so I typed in the beginning of a statement and then, in JDeveloper, hit Control and Spacebar.
A list of ALL THE POSSIBLE COMMANDS that I could use to manipulate text came up. AND ... ANNNND they are all logically named.
What do "they" not want you to know? They don't want you to know that Java IDEs weren't put together by apes and goons. I'm not going to say that just anyone can do it -- I suck -- but goddamn does it make it a little easier to get around syntax.
BEWARE! YOU COULD BE KILLED FOR POSSESSING THIS INFO
