Yeah. Does buying one make me the other?

A "microswitch" is a generic term used to refer to an electric switch that is designed to be actuated by the physical motion of mechanical devices and is generally packaged in a small form factor to allow placement in small spaces.

A "popper" is a jalapeno pepper, stuffed with cheese, breaded, deep fried, and generally served with a tangy sauce for dipping.

What are "microswitched buttons"?

For that matter, what is a "popper"?

Yeah, it's a non-issue, the only rules that are made up by the same shits that ruined mame.

Trade away. It's not like you are gonna keep the thing in museum quality condition for future generations, right? You have the thing to play it, and playing means high scores, and that means quick response, and that means microswitches. I thought CC used a trackball...

CLICKY CLICKY BUTTON question

This question is for all JC Denizens. And before we get started, yes, I've become an old arcade dork.

My CC unit does not have microswitched buttons. I love the feeling of microswitches.

Would I be an enormous popper (popper??) if I traded out the buttons that are in there for properly microswitched ones? I mean, there is no "code" I am breaking, is there?

This is probably a better question for rec.games.arcade.collecting, but hey... we're all friends here.
