I think with "regular" Hang On you don't have to hang on so much. You can take your hands off the handlebars and go, "WOOOOOOOO!"
I think I would pay one hundred bucks for regular Hang On. But $385 is a marvelous price from the seller's point of view: we are conditioned to think that anything ending in 99 is really the next number up. As a society, I do believe that's now true. I don't think the one cent or one dollar less thing works any more. But chopping off $15 -- I, personally, am not desensitized to that as of yet.
In other news, it also occurred to me that while they have made a steeplechase game where you simulate riding a horse, rocking back and forth (and using the "whip" button all the while) they could easily make a similar game where you are on top of a French hooker. You wouldn't even need to take the "whip" button away, necessarily. I'm not saying that there needs to be slot As for user-provided tab bs: that's gross. But Hang On has me thinking about various real-world control panel methods and I think there's room in the marketplace for that one.
The horse race / steeplechase game is also fun when you have four people linked up. This would also translate pretty well. I'm going to go read up on how to get an IPO started.
