The most definately are not going to have some lame enemies.

Grune is actaully revisited in the fourth of the intro comics so I would not be suprised if Ratar-O comes back.

Mumm-ra (in Lion-O's absence) kicks some major ass and enslaves the Thundercats. My buddy tells me that Panthro is still alive and I am pretty sure Wily kit & kat are all grown up. I'm still waiting for those comics and will review them to a point where I will question my sanity. So far I enjoyed the Intro books ... being a comic book neophyte and all.

How far in the future is it?

Are the Thundercats all dead now? Panthro, Cheetara, Lynx-O and Pumyra all gone? Or is it just enough time for Willy Kit and Willy Kat to grow up? And what about Snarf's nephew Snarfer? Or the gift from the Robears, Scooper?

Is there a cool new set of mutants? Although, Slithe and Monkian were pretty cool. Ratar-O, too, but he never showed up much.

I read very little comics not in size. I mean in ammount. I like Thundercats so I started getting the comics. I'm up to the fourth of the fifth of the introductory series. After the introductory episode they are going to make it in the future by some nasty thing Mumm-ra did. See there is this book of omens that you can go inside. So Liono does that and time is supposed to stand still when he is in the book ... but Mumm-ra makes it run fast and poof new plot.

So far it is damn good. The characters are written like they were in the cartoon. Liono is cool and everyone is well drawn. In a few of the issues they used "experimental" types of drawing which are documented in issue 0. Most are good with exception of the one where they have big chins. The one they settled on is VERY true to the cartoon. An edge has also been added. Mumm-ra isn't as much as a pussy. It is a very good read and I suggest you start before you will have trouble catching up. Great for fans of the series. I don't know about those who hated the series but if you simply disliked it read the comics.
