Like, meaning right now? At this instant? She is in South America last I heard so: probably.
... All right, FoD packs! Oh yeah!
Forgot to mention: I solved the Unix-crashing issue. Some d-bag saw it three years ago and posted on the IF Ratings site that the game, "Quits on launch" but never mentioned it elsewhere or what OS he was on. Not that it's that guy's responsibility, but Jesus Christ, here we have someone that downloaded the game, tried to play it, saw that it crashed and immediately assumed:
1) That everyone else playing it was making shit up. That Fallacy of Dawn was a lie of Roswellesque proportions
2) That he needed to go running off to the IF Ratings site to give the game the poor rating it so richly deserved, instead of expending equal effort to tell me, where I could have fixed it.
I swear, give any community anonymity and everyone becomes a sheer bastard.
So yeah, the game shouldn't crash on Linux any longer. The reason was because I was using the character #241 (referenced as such) to display health and ree levels. Instead, I switched to using color blocks.
Of course, the color blocks for health and ree don't line up perfectly on Windows. They are two pixels off. They match up perfectly on Limux. Good grief.
Anyway, I am playing through the thing on Linux and making record files so I can unit test the thing and ensure quality. I'm also trying to make sure that the game has enough "state," as Bruce put it six years ago. So that characters do not reference stuff they haven't seen. I think I solved it years ago, but being this long away from the game should ensure things.
(Then I need to tell the Home of the Underdogs to update their version.)
Shouldn't take more than a night to do this, the issue is just getting a night with nothing else going on. By this weekend, I hope.
