According to the map I'm looking at right now, there are actually a couple small fires in the town I lived in, Tustin. Probably in those hills to the east, but really close.

My brother lives in La Mesa with his wife and kids... Haven't been able to get a hold of them, the phones are usually jammed up. But everything I'm reading says La Mesa's probably OK.

i suggest anyone with friends / relatives in so. cal - sandy eggo area give them a ring and see if they need any assistance.
even if it's just moral support..
