It IS. I can't smell anything in here any longer, so I am either acclimated, or it's gone away. I'll be sure to exclusively date smokers in the near future though, to be safe.

Oh, carpet. Yeah, wet carpet is not a good thing. Hope it doesn't have to be removed. Actually by now it's pretty dry, right?

Look. I'm just gonna drop some bleach down while I wait for the reply. I'm sure nothing will come of it, and this reckless action won't pay whatever the opposite of dividends are. It'll be fine.

Bleach? Where do I dump the bleach? That will - won't that bleach the color of the carpet?

The blue fairy in Pinocchio is also hot in a cartoon way.

Don't mind me.

I always thought Alice was kind of hot, in a non-pedophilic way of course.

Need to dry out as quickly as possible. I have a spare furnace blower that I use when the water comes in (usually in the spring.) Smell can be eliminated with bleach but until the water dries it won't really help for long.

You've got homeowners insurance, right? You should get someone like servepro to bring in one of those huge blower fans to dry everything out quick. I once just turned on my oven and blew the heat out with a fan when a landlord wouldn't take care of water.

Don't get clipped like I did! My water heater started to leak over the weekend. This, naturally, made me very UPSET, because of a billion reasons, the least of which is the horror of going to sleep and waking up to find my arcade games drenched.

(Although the slope sends things in my office, and if it got rally bad, well, there is a drain in the water heater room.)

Anyway, the water did end up seeping into the floor under my office. Now it smells like fucking mildew and old pants. Is there ANYTHING I can do to fix this? Anything at all? I don't think steam-cleaning the carpet would work, right?

It is now officially Aardvark's "Unbirthday" thread.

So I'd like to tell him to have a great one, and I hope he has many, many more.

I have no idea how old you are, otherwise I would tell you where your peak power years in baseball were headed.
