School bus learning

by AArdvark » Tue Jun 30, 2009 5:42 pm

Someday i want to read a book on all the things that kids learn on school buses to and from school.

the other day i was at my brother's and we needed to make a couple errands and on the way we would take his kids for lunch at a fast food place. heading towards his truck, the oldest one shouts 'SHOTGUN!'

Now, this is familiar to all who have kids, the argument about who gets to sit up front.

The oldest one reaches the passenger door and is just in the act of getting in when the middle child yells out; 'ROSA PARKS!"

Now, I am almost doubled over with laughter as the two boys have a Dumb-and-Dumber style argument about how
one cannot call 'Rosa Parks' after 'Shotgun' . But because the 'shotgun' caller did NOT call the 'No Rosa Parks' rule in advance of someone calling 'Rosa Parks'...ect. ect.

Apparently, the Rosa Parks rule makes a person vacate a front seat for a back seat on the school bus if someone calls it out.

It was one of those auditory kodak moments.
