I don't watch a lot of TV, but I will be today.
Not only does the USA vs. Canada hockey game start in less than 15 minutes, the TV show Undercover Boss tonight features....

wait for it...

WHITE FRIGGIN CASTLE!!!!
I will be watching wistfully the entire time hoping they explain how the frozen sliders taste exactly the friggin same as the ones from the restaurant.

Well, that happens every night anyway, so the burgers were a nice surprise.

I don't know who said it, but what I heard that if a woman wants to give a guy the perfect gift for valentines day, she should wait until he's watching the ballgame, snuggle up to him, then proceed to go down on him.

Um, no, it was a 6-pack of White Castle frozen cheezeburgers.
One of the best Valentine's Day presents I've ever gotten.

I actually had some of pulled pork ones last time. Momma used to call it "Manwich", at least that was my opinion.

I think the closest White Castle to me is like 500 miles away. When I hit one, I have to try EVERYTHING.

For the humor impaired, I was sarcastically referring to my tunnel vision which only allows me to make a beeline for the "crave case" and scarf as many sliders as possible until I do my lindsey lohan impression in the bathroom before going back for more whenever I am within a 100 mile radius of the glorious "restaurant" known as White Castle.

They have pulled pork now as well as fries <shudder>

by Flack » Fri Feb 12, 2010 7:01 pm

My kid calls them "accordian" fries.

Crinkle fries. The finest of all fry shapes.

Oh please, like using a disinfectant or bug spray "in a manner inconsistent with its labeling," it is "a violation of federal law" to operate a burger joint and not sell fries.

For the humor impaired, the above is only correct for bug spray and disinfectants, but I've never heard of a burger place that didn't sell fries.

The spirit of Ben's ideas is, and shall always be, "Safeway" Brand Safeway Vodka, from Safeway.

Bruce
I didn't know they released anything under a "Safeway" brand. I was under the impression Safeway has a series of house brands for different products and doesn't use "Safeway" as a brand name for anything they release, e.g. "Lucerne" is the house brand for Safeway dairy products.

The times I went to a Safeway when I was in Virginia the last few years, they wouldn't have had vodka anyway. In Virginia, only State Stores can sell anything stronger than Beer or Wine. Ben may remember this as it was the same thing in Montgomery County, Maryland where only county stores can sell anything above beer or wine, and they also sell beer (at room temperature only to encourage people not to drink in public).

The use of a house brand not the same as the name of the chain is common for a lot of chains. "Market Pantry" is Target's house brand for various food products. They sell a really tasty medium supreme pizza under the Market Pantry label for $2.99.

I love it! Ben, all I really have to say is.

Fuck you very much. Oh wait, Kathy probably does that already (presuming you're still with her.) Never mind.
