Kirstie Alley

by Flack » Mon May 03, 2010 10:47 am

I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm a Kirstie Alley fan -- I liked her in Cheers and I liked the first couple of Look Who's Talking movies, but that's about it.

I caught a little of Alley's reality show this weekend, and my God is it sad. The show is basically an excuse to follow Alley, her two kids, and her paid clique of friends around her mansion to watch how sad they all are. The common thread of the show is Alley's fatness and her attempts to lose weight.

Fame must be a powerful drug for someone to subject themselves to this level of humiliation just to get back on television. I'd say in terms of train wrecks it's somewhere between Danny Bonnaduce's and Paula Abdul's shows.

At least it's not pissing on my childhood heros, like Ozzy and Gene Simmons.
