ECT? Safeway Brand Vodka? Both?

Sorry about the ex-cat.

My sister used to have a dog named Toby that I used to call Splachuba, because the dog sneezed one time and that's what it sounded like. Before it was all over, I had an entire back story on how Splachuba was the dog's Indian name and it meant "Mutt Warrior". The best part was, my sister used to cry every time I called the dog Splachuba, and the dog lived like 20 years so I got a lot of mileage out of it.

Oh, right. It went like this. (I forgot)

- Original name: FENG
- I decided he would be called: FRODO
- Your name for him: ELDRICK

It's all coming back to me now. I miss that little fella. I miss him much.

The original name of the cat was Feng, not Frodo. How the JC crowd ended up calling him Frodo, I do not remember.

I also don't remember much of what's transpired in the past three years.

I think I forgot to say that Pinback adopted this cat and named him Eldrick, yeah? But it was actually a neighbor's cat, who had called it Frodo. 19 years of Frodo! That's person who really liked Lord of the Rings.

And seeing the thread title, I thought the kid who played Frodo in the movies had died.

So how sad is it that, when I read the topic, I got upset because I thought this referred to Frodo, the Commodore 64 emulator? Then, before clicking the title, I thought, "Oh, I'll bet that Hobbit movie got cancelled."

I didn't expect ... this.

For what it's worth, I used to use the "jump the shark" phrase back before everybody else used it. When everybody else started, I stopped. I shall now in it's place use "pooped the pan."

As in, "this thread just pooped the pan."

Thank you, cat I do not know that apparently either reads from or writes in notebooks.

Maybe context is in order. Though I enjoy this place being incomprehensible to anyone but me and Ben, and sometimes Ben doesn't remember:

Back before THIS place, Pinback ran this place:

http://www.voy.com/47897/

And there was at least one iteration before.

Ben adopted a cat, called it "Eldrick" and I would post AS Eldrick and tell him that I (as the cat) "pooped in the pan."

And then I would use a smiley emotico- LOOK maybe you had to be there.

This maybe needs a blog post.

He pooped in the pan, Ben.

He pooped in the pan. :(

Just got the word from my old neighbor in Santa Monica. It took over 19 years, but finally, my request has been fulfilled:
