So we've got this local pizza joint around here called Hideaway. I think they have four locations in and around OKC, and another 4 up in Tulsa. They're kind of the "in" pizza place around here right now, so if you're not there at exactly 11am, you can expect to wait half an hour for a table. I made the mistake of stopping by one around 6pm once, and the wait to get up to the door just to find out how long the actual wait would be was about 10 minutes, so ... yeah, I don't do that.
We went there today for lunch and it was really good. It was our second time there. I already know you guys are going to bust my balls for admitting to having a pizza with ham, pineapple, and oranges on it (the "Maui Wowie!"), but it was so good I feel like it will give me magical powers with which to deflect your attacks. The kids had what is known as a "cheese" pizza, a complete waste of pie in my opinion but, eh, not worth the fight.
Susan got a salad, we got a medium pizza (1/2 and 1/2), plus we got a 50/50 appetizer (5 cheese sticks and about 20 fried mushrooms) and 4 drinks and the bill was $25. Good food, good price.
We've got another place I like even better, but it's about a 30 minute drive. "New York Pizza and Pasta", and they specialize in not only New York-style pizza, but deep dish Chicago style as well. So. Freaking. Good.
