The Huawei E960 wireless gateway supports HSDPA/WCDMA 2100, GSM/GPRS/EDGE 1900/1800/900/850, and network auto-switch. With the E960 Router, you can experience the wireless gateway and USB modem functions at any time and any place.
The Huawei E960 Gateway is powerful 3G modem that you can use it to get connected internet in your home with the ability to support LAN or USB connectivity. The method of application is the same as others, we just need to put in a mobile SIM card that will have been activated for 3G data services, after the setting, Huawei E960 will make our homes or offices into the wireless hotspot environment, and it will support several device concurrently. This is not a bad way for people who desire to enjoy fast reliable internet to many devices without having to do many preparations before the connection in their living room or office or other places.
Circumstantiate speaking; the Huawei E960 Gateway is capable of supporting connections to 4 desktop computers via Ethernet and 2 devices via a wireless network.
So many people must pay lots of attentions to how to set up WiFi network with Huawei E960, the methods are listed as follows: type
http://192.168.1.1 in the address of browser, then input “admin” into the password box and click the “login” button, select “Advanced Settings” on the left side of the menu of administrator page, then choose the “WLAN Enable” icon from screen, after that, choose “Enabled” and click “Apply” button, wait until the device has saved the changes of the above ways, and click “Continue” button. It’s all set up for the WLAN network now.
And Huawei E960 wireless gateway contains two working mode: wireless gateway mode and USB mode. Regarding the first mode, it may be not very familiar for somebody, and the operation is as shown in the below figure. Insert the SIM Card, connect to the power adapter, then connect to a PC, if the indicator of the Ethernet interface connecting with a network cable is on, the connection is successful. The Ethernet cable cannot be longer than 100 meters (328 feets). For better effect, please use the shield cable. Remarks: Connect it to a telephone to avoid the call effect from the interfering by the wireless signal, please place the telephone set one meter away from the Huawei E960.
The USB mode is very simple, directly connect the Huawei E960 and computer with a compatible USB data cable, then the computer will automatically identify the hardware. And we should install the Mobile Partner program.
