At 210 pounds and an above average fitness level, I've heard somewhat startling news: I'm prediabetic. Not the full on insulin resistance or over saturation, but close enough where buying a cheeseburger and soda is tantamount to paying for the right to crawl an inch closer to my death.
Drama aside, my current cycle is to down a soda / sugary treat to rustle enough energy to be awake long enough to drag myself to my desk... From there, its customary to drink two or three cups of tea to stave away migraines and grogginess and now, I'm tired of being in this intense mind fuck of a routine.
Lets make a few resolutions and swear to them in the full light of the Jolt Country "Lamp of Truth," so that I will feel obligated to follow through with them...
1) I will no longer eat anything that I don't cook myself.
2) Gym three times a week - I have new, interesting, and "fun" shoes to wear so it'll be enjoyable.
3) A personal aside, I'll work on one project a day (writing, programming, etc.)
4) Bed time is now 9:30 PM. No ifs ands or buts.
5) I'll feel free to add other activities - no more hiding inside
6) Sunscreen. Will wear it.
There we go... I'll try to keep to these and, oh...
7) Four pounds of true fat loss will occur by the 29th.
Resolutions.
I'll stick to them or die trying.
