FTL is less detailed than Weird Worlds and uses a different sort of random generated world: its more about challenges and encounters than the random "Game of Life" type events that WW is known for. That being said, I've only had time to play a short demo and I'll need to prioritize purchasing the game at some point (maybe after I decide its okay to purchase the new CS game).
