It's a plant extract. Wikipedia says "Plants of the genus Scutellaria, such as S. lateriflora, used in herbal medicine."

There are two. One is "Terry Naturally Healthy Feet and Nerves" (TNHFN) and the other is "Neurapathy Support Formula" (NSF).

The product says it should provide relief in a week or so, and as it turns out I was taking NSF for three days and the pain in my feet stopped, even the right foot where there is a blister running from the pad to the top, the pain has subsided from "really agonizing" to "minor annoyance."

Then I lost the bottle, and because of the subscription system I couldn't order another one so I ordered TNHFN. My feet started hurting again, and once I took two capsules twice over that day, the pain went away again.

Both are 60 capsule bottles, NSF says to take 2 twice daily (2 week supply), TNHFN says to take 2 a day (30 day supply). NSF was offered on a special, $6 for the first bottle for Shipping and Handling but you have to agree to subscribe at $43 a month, TNHFN is $17 a bottle, no requirement to set up a subscription.

This is where the $20 prepaid debit card from Rite Aid comes in handy since I ended up ordering a replacement bottle of NSF by using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox. (I think saved cookies were preventing me from ordering another bottle.)

What are in them? (For serving size of two capsules)

TNHFN:
Thiamin (vitamin B1) as benfiotiamine 50mg 3,333% of DV
Thiamin (B1) as thiamine hydrochloride 25mg 1,667%

Viramin B12 500mcg 8,333%
Biotin 1,200mcg 333%
Pantothenic acid 200mg 2,000%
Zinc 10mg 66%
Chromium 200mcg 166%

Items without a recommended daily value:
Alpha Lipoic Acid 200mg
Boswella 100mg

NSF:

I read about a month ago that they have the next generation of blu-ray discs ready to go. They hold 300 and 500 gig as-is and by next year when they hit the market they should hold 1 terabyte. The biggest problem they have with them isn't technology but rather application. I believe they are being marketed as archive/backup discs. Most other markets are moving or have already moved away from discs.

WORM is twaddle from the 90s. No-one wants to write unalterable media and if they do they finalize a DVD.

So if you accidentally write a virus or trojan to a worm drive it's there forever? Man.... I can see it being useful for collecting television programs and other kinds of media though.

What vitamins help with the pain?

The government technology expo, FOSE had its yearly event Tuesday through Today. I was able to get a free admission again so I went on Tuesday.

A number of exhibitors were back again, and some new ones. One of the things I found amazing this year was an extra-wide display, which basically was the equivalent of three screens. They had a really wide image on one screen, and on another, they had a double-wide moving image and a single-wide stiill image.

Another thing, WORM hard drives. One and two terabyte hard drives that once you write material to it, it can be read lots of times but you cannot erase it. The drives cannot even be reformatted. So you get the equivalent of a terabyte or larger sized DVD, but at hard drive speeds. I thought immediately of forensic copies of hard drives, since the copy cannot be overwritten.

One company that makes cases was back, I remember them because they have a replica of an assault rifle in one of them, it being in blue plastic, and in fact, I think they had the same booth location as they did last year (the guy even remembered me, but then again, an overweight guy in a power wheelchair is not all that common.)

I only got through about 1/2 of the exhibits in six hours (10 to 4) and I considered going back, but I'm not sure if I want to bother. The last day is today and I might see some more interesting things, but I'm not sure.

I have a couple things I need to do anyway. With my feet not hurting thanks to the vitamins I'm taking, I feel a lot better.
