Gerrit, the new XCOM is a fine game, in many ways superior to its "hallowed" predecessor. And even where it isn't, it's still very fun.

With the deep, deep discounts being offered at Steam for their summer sale and on the strength of Pinback's prior reviews, I picked up both XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM: Enemy Within. There was an additional discount being offered Friday and I snatched 'em up for like $10.

Now, to play and enjoy.

You can get the console version for 30 and that version includes the original game AND the expansion. Then on PC they want 30 for JUST the expansion? Crazy talk.
