This way, Paul!
In case you forgot, I'm in a wheelchair. I am not in a position to pick up a pizza unless I want to reheat the cold pizza once I get home. Besides, for pick-up pizza, or, in my case, eat-in pizza, Jerry's Subs and Pizza, a regional chain and franchise headquartered in Gaithersburg MD, has much better pizza and is easier to get to. Their New York style is utterrly fantastic.

Seriously though, I look forward to Paul's new healthy cooking videos.

Jesus Mary, Mother of God! You're eating healthier than I am!

Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:While we are asking personal health questions, are you on blood pressure medicine, Paul?
Yes.

I'm also on blood thinners, thyroid medication and others.

The thing is, these things came on fast; through as late as a couple of years ago I had never had any blood pressure problems. Of course I didn't have congestive heart failure either.

Here's a list of my prescriptions. [and what I know it's for]

Metformin Hydrochloride 500MG 2x daily [diabetes]
Eliquis 5 MG 2x daily
Carvedilol 25MG 2x daily
Losartan Potassium 25MG
Furosemide 20MG
Levothyroxine 125MG 2x once daily [thyroid]
Pantoprazole DR 40MG 2x daily
Digoxin 250MCG [heart]

Plus
Vitamin D3 800 IU w/Calcium 600 MG

So as it stands I don't know what half this stuff does except I feel better than I did when I had (undiagnosed) congestive heart failure so I take them. And I also cut back severely on anything needing salt. I've eliminated pizzas, have had one order of fries in six months, same for snack chips, and the only significant things are small amounts of salted butter I use and a few ounces of salted cashews a week.

While we are asking personal health questions, are you on blood pressure medicine, Paul?

Dude, why don't you just get the gastric bypass and lose weight for once. Medicaid considers obesity as disease so surely would pay for it.

I don't know what I could have done if I hadn't had the credit to cover it. Actually, I do. My sister has my old manual wheelchair, I'd get that, then cut extraneous expenses so I could save enough to raise maybe $100 a month and suffer months of unpleasant and dangerous transfers to and from the manual wheelchair. I'd also be stuck indoors except when I'd pay Metro Access because my manual range is maybe two blocks, with no carrying capacity. My power range probably exceeds three miles with a carrying capacity of perhaps a 13 gallon kitchen wastebasket, perhaps more.

I'm not as strong as I was, transferring to and from a manual is much harder now, I've had 6 years of using a power chair. Much different. For example, I just lean over to roll out of the power chair. In a manual I have to put a pillow over the side rail and wheel because it's painful to try and cross them. It's dangerous because the manual's brakes can release and potentially spin the chair away from me either when boarding or when exiting. The power chair can't move because the brakes have to be powered to release them.

Ouch dude. So medicare isn't covering that dme, would they cover something else that can assist with mobility that isn't a replacement due to damage? Would that help?

FIXED!

If you change the URL to "http://donrogers.pinback.space/(filename)", they should all be there.

They're on the CLOUD now.

by pinback » Sun Jun 19, 2016 6:30 am

The shows are currently being relocated to the clouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud.

I will update this thread once the relocation has been complete. Completed. Once it's done.

Two questions: (1) Was she a crush you doted on from afar, or an actual girlfriend you broke up with?

I noticed this last night, as a matter of fact. It will be fixed (or new links will be provided) before the end of the weekend.

From our days back at the Bull and Finch Pub BBS, it's my understanding you lost your virginity after I did. This sounds like a childhood crush, like Frankie Valley describes in "My Eyes Adored You."
It was a joke, Paul.

My sites are down for retooling.
