Yes, that's what I mean. Red is kind of a washed out gray.
Oh, well hell -- that's not so bad. I thought it wasn't throwing anything up there at all for that color.

Cab. Probably not original; it looks like it's been converted several times.
It doesn't have Bubble Bobble side art on the cab by any chance, does it?

Anyway, is this something that a new monitor in the game would fix?
Sure. But why bother? The whole game was $153.something, and a monitor tube would cost close to that and I'd have to screw around with high voltage, which scares me.
That's just it, getting the shock of my life because I misread the instructions of some autistic guy on the Internet who helpfully instructs people how to change monitors isn't my idea of a "fine time."

Bruce, let me get this employment stuff with my life figured out. The absolute latest this will go on is the beginning of August, even though we've been told "any day now" for two weeks. If I know where I am going to be, I can then tell if I can buy that from you and arrange a way to pick it up.

Question for our trip takers:

Do I have a chance in hell in picking up a working Vectrex at the CGE? For under $100?

Also, is it a cab or a cocktail game?

That massacre nonviolent? PLEASE! They bash into our cave of monster on some proclaimed "Magical Journey" and start attacking us. We didn't know they died when we touched them but after awhile it was our only means of defense. Forced asphyxiation only relieved by having the bubble popped and flying off wildly towards serious neck injury?

What do you mean by red gun? The tube is unable to produce the color red? I don't remember any guns in Bobble Bubble. It's a non-violent sort.

Also, is it a cab or a cocktail game?

OK... just hit Google. God, I love the Internet. I could edit this message and no-one would know that I didn't know what you meant by red gun. Now, I'm practically an expert on the subject. Anyway, is this something that a new monitor in the game would fix?

Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:Wait. Wait. You both went on classic game and / or arcade trips this weekend, right? I am thinking that we might need some trip reports outta you guys!

Bubble Bobble for $125. DAMMIT. I really should have gone, Brucie.

Were there any Qix machines there? I will be honest with you guys! I have an innate desire to "split the Qix!" Haw haw haw! I don't even know what that means! Help me!
No Qix. Except maybe on one of the two MAME cabs, one of which ran $550 and one of which was $325. The one Amy and I build will be better than either but will also be around two large.

I'll sell you the Bubble Bobble for $153.something, which is what I paid for it after seller's commission and tax. If you haul it away. The red gun is nearly gone but the gameplay is fine and the chirpy bright happy music was way too much for my hangover this morning.

Well, as Worm suggested to me, I was going to start posting my livejournal entries to montorusa under the ruse that I was provided fresh content, but montrusa seems to be down (oh n0!1) so here's a link to my account of the thing I went to: http://www.livejournal.com/users/roody/6781.html

You must get laid like never.
