I hate when you don't buy something for a long time and then you get sticker shock. I used to buy a dozen donuts and take them into work and I swear it was like $5/dozen or something. Not too long ago I bought two dozen and it was like $20 something and when the guy told me the price I screamed so loud he thought I had seen Godzilla.

Also, unrelated, but I was watching a live stream the other day where a guy was giving away Dixxon flannel shirts and I asked a few times in the chat about their cider and it took a while but I did eventually get him to say "Dixxon Cider" on his live stream which was kind of win, man. We all need a win, every now and again. Still got it.

Apple Cider and the cider donut.

I see apple cider for sale out here every year and no, it doesn't taste exactly like how I remember it did growing up, and yes, donuts are bad for people, but I don't really go into an office with donuts or any kind of sweet anymore.

I have been passing on picking up cider for so many years and I finally - when passing some tonight - asked: why. Why? Why on earth would I not get a couple quarts of cider?

I did and made a supper out of it, and it was amazing.

There was no logical reason to have ever denied myself the simple pleasure of a mug of apple cider and a cider donut. I miss you, Rochester.
