If the joystick had buttons on it the thing would be comparable to a Slikstik.

I give it: 90 PacMan dots out of 100

I've actually lamented the lack of a proper joystick on the 3DS (regardless of how silly that may seem.) Mad props to you, Mr. Aardvark!

Did not know the joystick is magnetic. Plunked it down on my work bench and a bunch of screws and springs ran over to it and gave it a hug
I actually didn't know that either! I haven't given this thing a fair shake yet. Mine's still in the tub I brought home from that gaming convention I went to a few weeks ago. Maybe this holiday weekend I'll set it up and give it a full run through.

Now I just need to wire it up. I can still use the Atari if I want, compared to the 8bitdo it feels clunky but it works

Fit check....satisfactory. I will need a couple backing washers from work to keep them horizontal, the case is tapered and they sit a little funny right now.

First thing, install the plug receptacles in the side of the Atari case

(Amazon $7.99)

So those big super buttons and the joystick...

I put them on my meter and they are only switches inside, no circuit boards or fancy-schmancy stuff. I'm going to put a couple 3.5mm jack receptacles in my Atari replica joystick and wire them up so I can use the super joystick and buttons with a usb cord. The Atari actually has hookups for a second button inside. This could prove interesting.

Just arrived. I have to say, typing on this thing is wonderful. The solid click feeling is way better then the thin drumming feeling I got with my Arteck thin keyboard. And it's fast, faster than my M class keyboard at work. A solid thanks to Flack for buying one and posting a photo on his board so I knew they existed and another big thanks to my boy for giving me the Amazon gift card so I could buy it now instead of waiting until Christmas. I still have to mess with the joystick and big red buttons. More later...
