Cool kids only!
Okay, I "fixed" my Amiga 1200. I had these problems with it:
The ribbon cable for the keyboard membrane had come undone. It takes a bit of force to get it into its slot correctly. Once I did that, the keyboard worked.
I had been getting video missing colors on the 1080s monitor that I had. It never really worked great. It was kind of garbage that I bought off a guy from IRC 10 or so years ago. Within a couple of years it was dropping colors, both when connected through composite and the Amiga's proper video out cable.
I am calling it. I have at least three retro monitors around here that don't work properly. I've been trying for three years to find a tech that can fix them. It would be different if it were an arcade monitor (we do have some guys who will fix those) but there is also a clutter factor. I am going to put these for free on Facebook Marketplace and if someone want to fix them and sell them, great. I'll give it a week and then recycle them.
