Pinner, that does actually sound like a genuinley good idea. Once I've moved out , I shall probably take you up on that suggestion.

Anyone else? Shmups are already cool, but I can't see myself doing the loads-a-online stuff.

Cooking is an excellent hobby, for the following reasons:

1. It involves all five senses, one of the few regular human activities which do so.

2. It's relatively inexpensive.

3. It impresses chicks (I've heard).

4. You get to eat at the end!

I'm sure with all the ass fucking going on at this moment in the world there is a cost effective lube.

Ah, as for hobbies?

You could enjoy the wide world of freeware gaming.
SHMUPS (Shoot em ups)
These are always a hoot, and some really beat the shit out of professionally made ones. Granted, you're better off playing with a joypad, but keyboard is just fine.
UO FREESHARDS #2
Granted the people who top those lists usually have auto voters, but most shards on the top have populations of a few hundred. IPY is the one I play on, it's got about 400-500 regular players.

You could also adopt the job of a professional television watcher. Sci-Fi has put on Sliders each day at five(my being in EST I'm guessing that means you can catch it every third tuesday or something), and Spike (lee) TV is airing TNG and DS9 each twice a day (I think).() I don't know if you get G4TechTV but the late night show "Unscrewed" is a fucking riot.

Oh a G.I. Joe DVD is coming(came) out, there is that Mega 64 DVD, and there are all of TNG, DS9, Sliders, Hercules: TLJ, and Xena on DVD. You could pur<s>DOWNLOAD</s>chase all that.

Oh, and in the world of porn phone sex is alive and well. Here is a fine example of enterprising! Still $39.95 for a messy facial?(You'll only get this link if you clicked the one before it) I guess if you don't fork up the extra money the guy blows his load in a Biohazard container like most chicks would prefer.

Wanking's mine. Or drinking. Or screwing. Sadly the latter in not available to you for 49 days. Why not just hide in a small hole until then?

Looking for hobbies? How about movie, book, update, cat, movie, insulin or movie?

LESBIAN: I have recently found some anatomical problems in what would be, otherwise, the perfect hobby. Shame, really.

I enjoy drinking, playing Interactive Fiction, drinking, cooking, drinking, building MAME cabinets, drinking, riding a bicycle, drinking, drinking, and drinking.

I have noticed recently that other than playing games and waiting for Keza to turn 16 (49 days), I don't have much to do in a day aside from the current jobhunt.

What other hobbies are there out there?

The obvious options are:

A) LION TAMER: A slavering golden beast attempts to maul me, and I must keep it back with a chair and a gracefully provided whip. This is exactly like my visit's to Keza's house.

B) CHEAP STREET WHORE: I am too pretty to be wasted on such things. Also: Vaseline is expensive.

C) WRITING INTERACTIVE FICTION: OH WELL I'D LOEV TO ONLY I DON'T HAVE TWO YEARS TO SPARE LOL.

D) REVIEWING HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS BASED SOULLY ON THE MERITS OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF SAID LOCATIONS, AS FOUND IN TRAVEL MAGAZINES: I will be doing this, doubtless, when I'm an old cliff Yablonski-like character. I am willing to wait for senility to kick in before embarking on this non-embarkation, because I really like the idea of not having to listen to anything my grandkids say. Ever. And having an excuse to throw them into walls.

Other suggestions would be welcome, there must be something out there that is "fun", and doesn't revolve around computers lie flies around Pinback's corpse.
