Last week for my internship (PAC-TAC), we toured the firehouse. They showed us around the various vehicles.. in one engine they had a $40K program installed on a notebook. It took addresses down to the apartment number. I plugged in my address and it showed my building with my apartment X'd in red... a PHOTO of my building. Sick shit. He said they constantly have planes in the air taking photos to keep the system current.. the last time my pic was updated was Nov 3.

Also have to give props to the Rochester Fire Department. We left because they were about to eat dinner in jeans and t-shirts. We get a call over the radios about a car fire on 490. We're not more than a block from the fire department... seconds later ALL of the guys come hauling ass out of the station with all their gear on. Wish the police responded that quick.

Satellite images strung together into a huge planet model where you can zoom down from orbit to street level anywhere on Earth. Not something I'd pay money for, but the seven day trial is, as I said, pretty neat.

I saw "requires activation" and closed it.

What's the deal, baser?
