Thought I fixed this last night, but I guess not. At any rate, the messages do get through, but you receive a 500 error after hitting submit.

I will be clearing out old PM messages in case that is it. I'd check the phpbb forums, but somehow I think searching for something as nebulous as "500" over there will give me the blank results page.

I'll sticky this until it's solved.
