I just saw an ad on TV for the Filtrete Bottled Water System from 3M. I went online to look it up. Filter system with four bottles is under $37 at Wal-Mart. Supposedly has very fast refill. Filters are good for 100 gallons and are $11.
This drops the price for clean filtered taste with bottled water convenience down to about 2c a bottle and you're not putting empty bottles into landfills.
