You sure it wasn't a spot-on cover by like, Disturbed, or something?
WBER in Rochester used to play "Easy Like Sunday Morning," and I would smack my head against the wall trying to figure out why in ever-loving hell they were playing Lionel Richie.
But then one day I learned it was actually Faith No More doing the song, exactly like the original. It was that good.
Mike Patton's a freak, but they guy's got an amazing set of pipes. I saw one of his new projects, Tomahawk, open for Tool here in Boston. I'm convinced his songs had no lyrics, and he was just singing "Robble, robble robble!!!" the whole time (seriously), but at least it sounded good.
