If I keep deleting, or rapid delete. And some how a line from another conversation got inserted into the mix. Now I am real careful.

Dialogue Editor Undocumented Feature

I was going to put this in the Bug thread, until I realized this is not so much a bug but an undocumented feature.

It concerns the Alt-D key, which deletes the current line, and is documented in the manual. For all lines but the first in a topic, it works expectedly. For the first line, it deletes the topic itself, and appends all remaining lines (if any) to the previous topic.

Note that the first three topics (INTRO), (BYE), and (?) are preset, and cannot be deleted or renamed. If you attempt to rename one of them, the editor creates a new topic with the new name.

If you need to delete everything in a dialogue, edit the first line of (INTRO), and keep pressing Alt-D until garbage characters show up. Then ESC to see only the preset topics, cleared of all text.
